The Apitherapy Association of India (AAI) is dedicated to promoting, researching, and standardizing Apitherapy — the therapeutic use of honeybee products — within India’s healthcare landscape.

AAI promotes clinical trials, pharmacological studies and evidence-based apitherapy, including scientific validation of hive-derived products.

AAI focuses on training and education for both medical practitioners and beekeepers.
Practitioner training covers safe administration and understanding of therapies such as Bee Venom Therapy. Beekeeper training includes hygienic extraction of high-value hive products.
AAI aims to establish purity parameters, safety guidelines, quality benchmarks and therapeutic-grade standards.
Scientific methods help distinguish therapeutic bee products from ordinary commercial products.
AAI aims to collaborate with government bodies, agricultural universities, academic institutions, AYUSH frameworks, researchers and healthcare professionals.

AAI promotes the integration of analytical chemistry, melissopalynology, clinical science and biological research for safety and quality standards of bee-derived therapeutic compounds.
Melissopalynology is the scientific analysis of pollen found in honey and other bee products, helping identify floral origin and support quality verification.
AAI supports field-oriented education covering hive disease control, small hive beetle management, queen rearing, high-value hive product harvesting and sustainable apiary practices.
Research activities also connect genetics, biotechnology, bio-analytical techniques, forensic sciences, higher-education research and curriculum development.
Impact
By encouraging the collection of high-value hive products beyond raw honey, AAI aims to diversify income opportunities for Indian beekeepers. This approach supports increased beekeeper income opportunities, sustainable beekeeping, honeybee population growth, biodiversity, crop pollination and agricultural sustainability across India.
